My name is Raymond Jones and I am the owner and lead photographer of Marc Raymond Photography. I believe photography captures the true essence of life. My goal as a photographer is to capture the sentiment of the moment as it unfolds.  I believe a photograph is not just about the moment, but what is at the heart of the moment.

Short Bio

At first…
Photography began as a hobby for me over 15 years ago with my father’s old Canon AE-1 35mm film camera. I learned the basics of photography the hard way; spending a lot of money on rolls of film. Thankfully, the digital camera was invented and made correcting mistakes much cheaper.
So…
I purchased my first digital camera 10 years ago and began my path to becoming a better photographer.  I increased my knowledge of various lighting situations, composition and flash techniques by attending seminars and gathering as much information as i could.  
And then…
I realized being a photographer was more than just the technical aspects of a camera. It is also about the personality of the photographer. Being able to make people comfortable  in front of a camera is a trait any good photographer should have. My easy going personality and ability to speak with anyone allows me to capture the true emotions of the people I photograph.

My personality is easy going, laid back and just pure fun. Laughter is very contagious and my sessions are always full of smiles and laughter. Keeping the mood relaxed and fun will help in creating an environment that is excellent for photographs.

I will learn your personality by meeting and speaking with you before your photography session so as to capture who you are.
